【过去将来时考点精讲精练】
过去将来时表示从过去某个时间看将要发生的动作存在的状态，或者说是过去某个时间点对未来的看法。这种时态常出现在宾语从句或间接引语中以及虚拟语气中。
考点一：一般过去将来时是由“should/would + 动词原形”构成，表示从过去的某一时间来看将来要发生的动作，多用于主从复合句中。
He said they would arrange a party.
He asked me yesterday when I should leave for Paris.

1. would sign。Did you predict是解答本题的关键，暗示应用过去将来时。故答案是would sign。
考点二：用于was/were about to do…when…句型，表示：正要……这时发生另一件事。was/were to do 也可以用于过去将来时。

考点三：过去将来时用于虚拟语气特定句型，表示与将来事实相反的情况，如I wish…., If only….,及if虚拟条件句等。
I wish he would go with me to the cinema tonight.
If I had a chance to study abroad, I would study at Cambridge University.

考点四：“was/ were going to+动词原形”表示过去准备或计划做某事，或者从过去某个时间看将要发生某事。

考点五：come, go, arrive, leave等瞬间动词，用在过去进行时态中表示过去将来。
She told us that she was leaving for Yunnan soon.
Mr Green was leaving for Hawaii a few hours later.

Mother Teresa was born in Yugoslavia, on August 27, 1910.She 1 (attend) the government school near her home until she was eighteen. At that time, some doctors and nurses from Yugoslavia 2 (work) in India, and they often wrote to the school about their work. She decided to join them one day.
