本单元教材以“某人拥有某物多长时间了”为中心话题,围绕着“怎样处理旧东西”进行。学习和运用几个常见的句型:—How long have you had that bike over there?—I have had it for three years./—How long has his son owned the train and railway set?—He has owned it since his fourth birthday./—Have you ever played football?—Yes,I did when I was little.等。在学习过程中,学生在交流中,能促进师生之间的感情。Section A主要学习几个常见的动词短语及句型:How long have you… ? 通过短文来介绍一个家庭举办的家庭拍卖会的故事,增加了学生的阅读量。Section B安排了听、说、读、写的任务,通过短文“Hometown Feelings”,讲述了一些农民工离开自己的家乡去城里打工的经历和感受。教师在教学中应合理利用课本上的知识进行教学。
