型梳理

首先,你需要有学习新技能的能力。
动词不定式(短语)后置定语修饰抽象名词
英语中,一些表示抽象意义的名词后常接不定式(短语)定语,常见的此类名词有ability, chance, effort, plan, promise, attempt, way, reason, opportunity, time等。
The ability to express an idea is as important as the idea itself.
表达观点的能力与观点本身同等重要。
其他常用不定式(短语)后置定语的情况:
1)修饰名词的非谓语动词表示将来的动作时,应用不定式后置定语。
I have a lot of things to do.
我有许多事要做。
The question to be discussed at the meeting is very important.
将在会议上讨论的那个问题非常重要。
2)修饰序数词、最高级和the last等词或修饰被这些词所修饰的名词时,用不定式后置定语。
Most people know that Marie Curie was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize, and the first person to win it twice.
大多数人都知道居里夫人是获得诺贝尔奖的第一位女性,同时也是两次获此殊荣的第一人。
3)当名词被no, the only等修饰时,常用不定式后置定语。
There was no man to turn to for help at that time.
那时没有人可以求助。
That is the only fault to be found with him.
那是他身上挑得出来的唯一毛病。
2.(教材P105Well, using the Internet, learning new IT skills and keeping up with technology developments will be very important.
使用互联网,学习新的信息技能和跟上技术发展将是非常重要的。
动名词(短语)作主
单个的动名词(短语)作主语时,谓语动词要用单数形式。一般来说,动名词(短语)作主语表示一种抽象的或泛指的动作。
Having a balanced diet is very important.
均衡的饮食非常重要。
Reading aloud is very important for us to learn a foreign language.
大声朗读对我们学习外语是非常重要的。
动名词作主语时,有时用it作形式主语,并把真正的主语移至句尾。
常见句型:
It is no use/ no good/ a waste of time doing sth. 做……没有用/ 没有好处/ 浪费时间
It is worth doing sth. 做……是值得的
I think it is no good reading in bed.
我认为在床上看书没有好处。
It is worth seeing the movie for another time.
这部影片值得再看一次。
