1. involve

apart from具有下列三层含义：
（1）相当于besides，表示“除……之外还有”，强调另外还有。
（2）相当于except，表示“除了……之外”，强调从整体中除去。
（3）相当于except for，表示“除……之外”，是在对某人/ 物整体上肯定的同时，特别指出不足。

4. in addition to
意思：_____________
in addition to 相当于一个介词，所以to后接动词做宾语时要用动名词形式。
in addition 此外，另外；也，还
该词组在语法上相当于一个副词，可用于句首、句中或句末。

句型解析
1.（教材P62）The main argument for factory farming is that, apart from being a lot cheaper than traditional or organic farming, it provides more food for a world population that has already reached seven billion, according to the United Nations.
支持工厂化养殖的主要论据是除了比传统养殖或有机养殖要便宜很多外，根据联合国提供的数据，它还能为已达到70亿的世界人口提供更多的食物。
本句包含that引导的限制性定语从句。
关系代词that引导的限制性定语从句
关系代词that可以引导限制性定语从句，指代指人或指物的先行词，但不能用于引导非限制性定语从句，that可充当从句的主语、宾语、表语等。
在先行词指物的限制性定语从句中，that和which一般可互换，但在下列情况中只能that。
1. 先行词是不定代词或先行词被all, no, any等修饰时，关系代词通常只用that，不用which。
Is there anything that you want to buy in town?
你有什么想在镇上买的东西吗？
2. 先行词被序数词、形容词最高级，the only, they very, the last 等修饰时，关系代词通常只用that，不用which。
This is one of the most exciting football games that I have ever seen.
这是我看过的最激动人心的一场足球比赛。
3. 当先行词是一个既指人又指物的并列词组时，关系代词只用that不用which。
The scientist and his achievements that you told me about are admired by us all.

4. 句中其他位置已出现which 或who，为避免重复，不用which或who而用that引导限制性定语从句。

议论文
议论文是以议论为主要表达方式的一种文体，它通过摆事实、讲道理的方式来辨明是非曲直，从而表达出作者的观点。它常由论点、论据和论证三部分构成。
1. 它要求语言必须简练、准确，因而在写作时要尽可能避免使用口语，多用书面语，可适当使用名言警句；要以议论为主，辅之以叙述、说明和描写等手法。
2. 写作时要围绕中心论点展开议论，即论据和论证要围绕论点展开。根据题目要求，有时需要从正反两方面来论述，这样可以增强论证的力度。最后，可得出结论，照应开头，形成一个有机的整体。
3. 写作时常以三段式的形式展开议论，即提出论点、组织论据和得出结论。

Some are in favor of staying at home. They think it's both convenient and comfortable. What's more, they can save money for other purposes. But they will lose the chance of getting to know the outside world. Meanwhile, others prefer to go out for traveling since it can increase their knowledge and broaden their horizons. But they will spend much money and meet some difficulties while traveling.
In my opinion, it would be much better to stay at home, for I can do what I like, such as reading books, watching TV, and helping my parents with the housework.
