本节课是高中英语第三册unit8 Green Living 的第四课 writing, 课型为写作课，通过阅读给出的调查报告,自己做出一份调查报告。

教学目标：
（1）学生能够学到调查报告的写作方式
（2）学生能够通过阅读分析文章结构找到有用语言与句子。
（3）学生能够了解如何对别人的文章进行评价

重点：（1）能够了解调查报告的写作方法

（2）能够通过阅读分析文章的结构，找到有用的词组句子运用到自己的写作中。

难点：（1）能够运用地道的语言写调查报告。

（2）能够通过阅读分析文章的结构，找到有用的词组句子运用到自己的写作中。

Step 1 Get ready for writing
Activity 1.
T asks students t discuss in groups about how to write a survey report on environmental protection for the residents in your city or town. What should be included in a survey report
Step 2 Read for writing
Activity2
T asks Ss to read the report again and find out what questions are asked and what are the findings.
Step 3 Focus on structure and language
Activity3

T asks Ss to read the report and Label each paragraph of the report with the following headings.

A Introduction       C Negative findings
B  Conclusion       D.Positive findings
Activity 4
T asks the students to underlined the quantity expressions in the survey report.

Activity 5 Outlining
T asks students to write an outline for their own report

.summarise your findings and give recommendations.
Activity 6 Drafting
T asks the students to write their own draft and gives Ss some important points in writing a survey report
Activity 7(Pair work)
T asks students to edit their learning reflection in pairs

A survey report

Is the purpose of the survey clearly stated in the report?

Are quantity expressions used appropriately?

Are proper graphs used to report finding?

Is a conclusion provided?

Is the report logically organised

Mark any spelling, punctuation or grammar errors.

3. What do other countries do on waste management? Do you think Sweden's method can be applied to your city or town?

Activity 1 General understanding
1. What are the causes and effects of air pollution?
2. What is global warming and how does it affect our planet?
3. What are landfills and why are they becoming a serious problem?
4. What are the possible solutions to these environmental problems? .
Activity 2 Critical thinking
2. What do you think of the fourth R- Responsibility? Do you think it's more important than the other three Rs (Reduce, Refuse and Recycle)? Why?
