Teaching goals:
一、功能Functions:
1）学生能够练习运用有关人物外貌特征的词汇和句型较准确地描述人物的外貌特征。
2） 能掌握以下重点句型：
①—What does he look like?
—He’s of medium height, and he has short hair.
② —Do they have long or short hair?
③—Is Peter short or tall? He is short.
④ —What does she look like?
—She is heavy and has short hair.
3）掌握正确运用have动词和be动词的描述人物外貌的方法。
二、学习策略strategies:
借助多媒体，使用自学、合作、任务等多种方式引领学生学习，通过不同形式的练习来运用现在进行时态，体现其主体地位。
培养同学间的友好相处，规范自己的行为，同时能提高他们的观察能力和判断能力，激发他们对学习英语的兴趣和热情，在接近生活常态的交际中能乐于模仿，敢于开口，积极参与，主动请教。
通过描述同学、自己、偶像的外貌，简单地表达自己的观点或好恶，学会交换不同的看法，使学生在人际交往中学会尊重和理解别人
（设计意图：概括学习内容，明确教学目标，做到心中有数。）

本课亮点：
本节课围绕教学目标，布置各种任务对学生进行知识的渗透。教学活动设计，注重培养学生兴趣，引导学生主动观察、发现、归纳知识要领。教学内容注意知识的难易层次。整堂课,体现了学生的主体地位，采用任务性教学，发挥学生的最大潜能。教和学立足于课本，但又高于课本，实现了学生从理论的积累到实际运用的真正的转变。
不足：设计环节稍多，学生展示时间短。练习稍显仓促。
使用建议：
整篇教学设计环节比较多，建议充分使用多媒体课件辅助教学效果更好。
教后反思：
本课的核心话题是谈论人的外貌（look），这既是是教学重点，同时也是教学难点。本课的设计通过创造性运用任务型教学模式，设计多姿多彩的切合学生实际的各种任务，创设情景以提高其听说读写水平。通过学习语言材料，让学生获得了运用所学的有关词汇，短语及句型，描述人的外貌特征，并能结合实际生活进行灵活运用的能力。并借用媒体来提高学生的学习兴趣，让学生通过亲身体验、实践、合作与探究等方式学习英语。使学生确实从学习中学会了如何谈论外貌,同时还学会了识别不同人物外貌特征，丰富了学生生活,同时也是一种真实的体验，增加了学生的语言实践，促进了他们在整个教学活动中主动参与。同时对学生进行了情感教育，要求他们不以貌取人，多发现别人的优点，学会友好地描述别人的形象。
