| 句型梳理
| While some people believe it is crucial for scientific advancement, other’s raise moral concerns.尽管有些人认为这对于科学的进步至关重要,但也有人提出了道德方面的担忧。
While引导让步状语从句意为“虽然,尽管”,相当于though/ although位于句首.
while意为“当…时”引导时间状语从句, 从句中的谓语动词是延续性动词,eg: While Mary was writing a letter, the children were playing outside.
玛丽在写信时,孩子们正在外面玩耍。
while意为“而,然而”作并列连词,常位于句中,连接两个分句,表前后意义上的对比或转折。
eg: There's plenty of rain in the southeast while there's little in the northwest.
东南部雨量充足,而西北部很少下雨。
