The second way to build up your vocabulary
Affixation falls into two forms, adding prefixes or suffixes. Most of prefixes can change the meaning of words, but many suffixes can change the part of the speech.
—able “可以(被)…的”、“适合…的”等等。
drink+able 可饮用的  rely变y为i+able 可靠的  
—al“属于…的”、“有…特性”等等。
culture+al 文化的  nature+al 自然的
—ant、ent “…性的”等等。
relavant 相关的        distant 遥远的
—ic“…的”、“与…有关的”等等。
scientific 科学的       automatic 自动的
ab—、un—、dis—等表示否定。
