Lesson-1导学案
非谓语动词作宾语
1. 以下动词接动词不定式作宾语:
afford, agree, arrange, attempt, ask, choose, decide, expect, fail, hope, intend, know, manage, offer, persuade, plan, pretend, promise, refuse, wish等。
例如:
He managed to escape from the fire. 他设法从火中逃走了。
My mother attempted to pass the driving the test, but she failed to do it. 我妈妈想通过驾驶考试,但她没能做到。
注意:①不定式短语作宾语时,如果还带有宾语补足语,往往把不定式短语放在宾语补足语之后,用it作形式宾语。
例如:
I find it hard to get on well with my roommate. (it作形式宾语,真正的宾语是动词不定式to get on well with my roommate)
②“特殊疑问词/whether+不定式”的结构作及物动词的宾语,可以转化为宾语从句。本结构中的动词不定式一般采用主动形式。
例如:
The couple hasn’t decided where to travel. (The couple hasn’t decided where they will travel.)
The students knew what to expect in the new term. (The students knew what they could expect in the new term.)
2. 以下动词或动词短语跟动名词作宾语
admit, advise, appreciate, avoid, consider, delay, envy, deny, dislike, enjoy, escape(避免;逃避), finish, imagine, keep, mind, miss(未达到,错过), practice, suggest(建议), can’t stand, put off, look forward to…等
例如:
The naughty was lucky to avoid being punished. 这个淘气鬼很幸运地避免受到惩罚。
Are you looking forward to visiting the museum? 你期待参观博物馆吗?
3. 以下动词或动词短语既可以跟动词不定式,也可以跟动名词作宾语
(1)接不定式、动名词作宾语时意义相同的动词:
like,love,hate,begin,start,continue,prefer
(2)接不定式、动名词作宾语时意义不同的动词或动词短语:
stop to do停下来去做 stop doing停止做
forget to do忘记要做 forget doing忘记做过
remember to do记得要做 remember doing记得做过
regret to do遗憾要做 regret doing后悔做过
try to do企图做,尽力做 try doing试着做
go on to do继续做(另一件事) go on doing继续做(同一件事)
mean to do打算做 mean doing意味做
can’t help (to) do无法帮忙做 can’t help doing情不自禁
(注:forget/remember/regret doing = forget/remember/regret having done)
(3)need, require, want作“需要”讲,其后用动名词的主动式表示被动意义,也可用动词不定式的被动结构。be worth(值得作)后只跟动名词。
The trees need watering/to be watered. 这些树需要浇水。
The project is worth paying attention to. 这个项目值得关注。
注意:以下短语中to是介词,不是动词不定式。
look forward to期待;be used to习惯于;refer to谈到,提到,参考;
stick to坚持;pay attention to注意;contribute to贡献,引起,导致;
get down to着手做;be addicted to对……上瘾;look up to尊敬,看得起;
lead to导致,引起……
例1:下列各句中均有一处错误,指出并改正

二. 语法填空
English learners can improve their abilities to remember and use new words by testing themselves. So next time you are studying English, try to test 1. (your). A simple way to test vocabulary is to create flashcards (抽认卡) with clues on one side and answers on the back. Flashcards in the past were small cards or pieces of paper with a word or a question on one side and the meaning or answer to 2. question on the other side.
