Step 1 Warming-up
1. Tick the facts about malaria.
2. Share what you know about Tu Youyou.
设计意图：激活已知，引入主题，铺垫语言。
Step 2 Pre-reading
1. Predict what a news article will include by raising questions about Tu Youyou.
设计意图：由提问进行预测文章大意。
Step 3 Reading
1. Read the article and find out some basic facts about Tu Youyou.
2. Read again and fill in the tree diagram with details from the text.
3. Match the words and phrases and use them to talk about Tu Youyou’s achievement.

Step 4 Discussion
Summarize the qualities from Tu Youyou by citing evidence from the text.

教材分析
本课在学生熟悉了介绍屠呦呦的新闻报道内容的基础上，进一步挖掘讲解其中的语法现象——定语从句。使学生在真实语境中观察和理解定语从句的功能和用法。并且安排学生利用所学的定语从句知识，仿照介绍屠呦呦的新闻报道，介绍另外一位科学家的信息。
教学目标
在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
1. 梳理并可视化呈现文本结构。
2. 了解和掌握定语从句的功能和用法。
3. 仿照文本信息搜集另外一位科学家的信息。
